SKU220 Montes Classic Series Merlot

ORIGIN: Colchagua Valley. VARIETAL COMPOSITION: Merlot 85% & Cabernet Sauvignon 15%. AGING: 40% of the wine is kept for 8 months in French oak barrels. TASTING NOTES: Nice, deep ruby-red color. The nose offers plenty of fresh red fruit, such as strawberries and cherries, along with lactic notes such as caramel, yogurt and toffee. The use of oak is well balanced with the fruit. The palate features soft, round tannins and prominent lactic notes leading to a long and pleasing finish. PAIRING SUGESTION: Highly recommended with chicken with mushroom sauce and baked potatoes, meat and vegetable soup, corn meat pie, humitas (Chilean Tamales), lasagna.
